I really wanted to write but I cannot find time to do so. My job ate 40% of my time, 40% goes to sleeping and 20% for eating/TV/transportion, thats my daily routine. I usually got ideas while walking, daydreaming on the train and everywhere where I can sit and think but sometimes my penfriend was never handy so I tend to lose them.
I enjoyed drawing since childhood. I tend to draw on my room's wall and my mom would always scold me but thats a different story.
Back in college I started doing a rough pencil comic with my barkada as the characters. I drew them in miniature/deformed version and they liked it. The script basically revolved around us, mostly inside joke. I did that for 5 months. After a while when my enthusiam on writing grew back I started writing on fictionpress again. But I never considered halting my interest in drawing, I doodled once in a while. Every notebook and book I have in school (college) and every letters/cards i sent to my friends had my tiny little drawings on it.
When I got off college and started working, I stopped doing both. Once in a while, I felt guilt of not finishing BlueDaze (my online novel), I didn't have a final chapter for it.
After L's event at Gloria Jeans, they've announced Komikon, I wanted to join but I didnt have the time to write a 8-page themed comic book with cover :P although, I have a month and a half to prepare. I started to sketch characters but gave up after a week. Then started getting busy with work.
I thought of reviving my college barkada's comic, but since I don't see them anymore, what's the use? Then I remember the guy below (previous post). *smiles*
Earlier I started pencil sketching a strip. Since I dont know how to make one (I mean, proper one; Cartoonist's Style) I copied a strip from a broadsheet. copied their perspective and script and positions, then adding my own character on it. I labeled it as SAMPLE and I'm getting the hang of it. Maybe after few weeks after practicing more, I will be able to publish (Online) my own original strip. I'm finished with our character design. It won't have any other characters except him, me and his cab. *dang, i forgot to took pictures of his cab :P*
